MOEBIUS TO ENGLISH DICTIONARY ?
FROM 'DEDDI'.....WHO HAS 'NODIUS SYNDRONE'......

(Contributions welcome.....please include translation)

Just a light hearted moment to say...Got any idea how hard it is to say Moebius correctly with paralyzed facial muscles? I have Moebius Syndrome and for years my enunciation would be Nodius Syndrone. Eventually, I started writing it down when asked. That wasn't all as my name is Debbi, but when I said it it was, "Deddi." I have often wished that this syndrome be more pronounceable for those of us who have it to relate to others ;).

In any case, I would love to elaborate on fun topics. One time the doctors in the esteemed University of Iowa Health Clinic kept asking me if a picture of a fly on a wall looked real. I was fourteen and kept asking them why they wanted to know. You know, most teens have a bit of a suspicious nature anyway so I thought this must be some psychological test. They would not tell me why and I would not say if the fly looked,"real," whatever that meant. They became frustrated and I became silent, another typical teen response. Years later I realised they were working on depth perception and were curious to see if I had any. I guess I have enough as I have a drivers' license. Now if they had only explained their reason for their question I would have had no trouble responding in a more helpful style.
