The purpose of moebius1.org is to promote international awareness of Moebius Syndrome, offer informational resource links and provide an interactive support format  to the many individuals, their families and friends, that accept the challenges of Moebius Syndrome on a daily basis.

This web site relies on your participation.  We accept written experiences, thoughts and feelings as well as pictures to be published in the site.  By submitting written material or pictures to moebius1.org you authorize moebius1.org to publish the material on the site and other formats as may evolve and be deemed appropriate by moebius1.org.

We intend moebius1.org to be informative and offer a more personal approach to dealing with the challenges of Moebius Syndrome and related disorders. We believe that the hard facts exist  and inform, but personal interaction with others that share the experience is what gets a person through the day.  Someone with whom to relate.

Moebius1.org is simply the vehicle.  It is solely the responsibility of the reader to verify,  any and all information, including but not limited to, email, personal responses from others and written material, with a competent and trusted medical, psychological or other appropriate professional.

Unless otherwise indicated, none of the articles, opinions or email support volunteers are medical or psychological professionals.
They are simply moms and dads, family members or individuals with Moebius Syndrome, willing to share their experiences in an effort to help someone else make it through.

The success of moebius1.org will be directly related to the input received from the Moebius Syndrome community and supporters.  We intend to reflect the need that exists.  We count on the input received to accurately identify the need.  All comments, suggestions, encouragements or critiques are welcome indeed.

As this site develops we will be able to become more effective with regards to our goals.  We have to start somewhere and this is it.  All things take time.

We have initiated an organization called MOEBIUS 'WARRIORS' INTERNATIONAL.
The purpose of this organization is to help create a unified voice, a roster, to lend credibility to our  awareness and eventual research support efforts.  
Membership cards are issued upon request, with or without picture.  Please see the membership page.  Membership is free.

In my short experience with Moebius Syndrome (a new grand daughter 11-99) I have come to realize through conversations with so many of you, that the secret is love, sharing and support.  Moebius Syndrome is what it is and that's that.  Life goes on and those that receive the necessary love, understanding and support, learn to deal successfully with their situation.  So, if you can participate in the support, we welcome you and appreciate your efforts.
